Updated web site for Coming Abstractions

After a year or so of not wanting to "deal with it" I have finally changed my website.  I deliberately removed the fused glass and bead sections and attempted to show a more cohesive body of work using only selected paintings.

Here's the new version which I'm not entirely pleased with but need to learn more about the design tools offered by the host before I go in and change it again.  Comments and suggestions welcome -- particularly regarding the slideshow format.  I'm not convinced it's a feature I want to keep but would love some input:

Blogger Blues

Well -- I owe you all a photo of "Homeward Bound" and because of some genius at Blogger they have changed the way photos are able to be uploaded.  So....I have posted my complaint on their forum and found that I'm among many other unsatisfied people who want this changed back to the way it was.  In the meantime Blogger is FORCING us to either use Picassa for our photo editing/uploading choices or use another URL which I personally do not have.

I'm looking into this and will post a photo as soon as I figure out a way to get around this.

Homeward Bound

On April 6, 2010 the husband of a dear friend took his life, leaving behind a beautiful wife, daughter and son.  Three days later a former co-worker of mine took herself out, forsaking a wonderful husband and two sons.   I don't profess to know the reasons why -- they're private and personal matters that may not even be known to those closest to the deceased.  But the memories of their presence on earth will be with all of those who knew these two people.  I pray they are in a better place and their emotional pain is dissolved.  Both will be missed and I hope to God they know that they each planted many good and loving memories in so many lives.  "Homeward Bound" was painted in their memory, in hopes they have found the peace they so desperately sought.
