There is lots of texture, deep blended colors and flecks of gold on this painting. I finished it with a glossy coat of UV protective varnish for added protection. The little white dots you may see are actually reflections from the varnish and not white specks on the painting.

A New Look for Spring!

I decided to brighten up my blog a bit and change the background from black to white.  Let me know what you think -- my hopes are it's brighter and easier to read.  I also added a link to my Etsy shop along with the link for the Daily Painter's blog.  It's been a crazy week learning about widgets, gadgets, pixels, .tifs and .jpegs.  I know the internet is the "wave of the future" and my previous ways of marketing are so outdated but it's not always easy to teach an old dog new tricks.  It's a learning experience, to say the least!
